Hello!

My name is Hannah Spivak and my pronouns are She/Her. I'm currently located in Denver, Colorado, but originally from Chicago, Illinois. I moved to Colorado in 2016, to continue my passion for social work. In my free time I enjoy connecting with nature, knitting/ crafting, and spending time with my partner and Cavalier King Charles, Dosi.

I identify as a neurodivergent therapist with chronic illness, and understand how difficult it can be to find a therapist who affirms and understands your experience, while also recognizing the impact of systemic barriers on mental health.

As a previous school social worker for almost a decade, I noticed a significant gap in mental health services, specifically for neurdivergent students. I created my private practice to offer neurodivergent-affirming therapy with a focus on Trauma for adolescents and adults across Colorado.

My work integrates trauma-informed care with an understanding of how neurodivergence, sensory processing, and chronic illness can shape daily life.

In addition to individual therapy, I provide clinical supervision and consultation services for therapists.

What is a neurodivergent affirming approach? 

‍A neurodivergent affirming approach focuses on creating an inclusive environment where individuals feel accommodated, valued, and understood, for who they are, including neurotype. A neurodivergent affirming therapist acknowledges the societal impacts and barriers associated with neurogivergence, and provides realistic and accommodating therapeutic support.
